WHO IS ALERUS RETIREMENT SOLUTIONS?
Alerus Retirement Solutions (“Alerus”) is a Trust Company, recordkeeper and retirement plan administration firm based in Arden Hills, MN (a St. Paul suburb). Alerus has been in the defined contribution business since 1944. Alerus provides recordkeeping and trustee/custodial services to plan sponsors in 44 states.
Alerus has three distribution channels:
- Direct marketing programs in conjunction with large national referral sources;
- The Alerus Relationship Managers program, which markets directly to plan sponsors located in the Upper Midwest.
- The Alerus Advisors Network, which includes several large broker-dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, Third Party Administrators and other independent producers nationwide.
*ARS uses the National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) platform for daily trading and settling of trades.
*ARS operates SunGard’s OmniPlus recordkeeping system, a state-of- the–art processing engine. ARS administers and is recordkeeper for all types of plans including Pension plans of all types, ESOPS, KESOPS, 401(k) and Profit sharing plans, new comparability plans, deferred compensation plans, 457 plans and 403(b) plans.
